About FunPlex

FunPlex is a free platform of multiplayer web games made for friends. Everything runs in your browser (desktop, tablet or phone). There is nothing to download or install.

How it works

• One name for every game. You choose a display name once and it is used in all games.
• Sign in with Google to keep your progress. Signed-in players choose their own name and their progress (money, coins, skins, scores) is saved to their account and follows them to any device.
• Guests can play too. Guests get a random name that cannot be changed, and nothing they earn is saved: when they leave the page their data is deleted.
• Real-time multiplayer uses WebSockets, so players in the same game see each other live.
• Controls: keyboard and mouse on desktop; on-screen touch controls on phones and tablets (SnowPit and Dodge The Flow).

Technology

Node.js, Express, Socket.IO, SQLite and Three.js (3D graphics, WebGL). Games are open to anyone with a modern browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is FunPlex free?

Yes. Coins and money in the games are virtual and have no real-world value. You cannot buy, sell or cash out anything.

Is this gambling?

High Stakes uses only virtual play money that cannot be bought or withdrawn. It is entertainment, not real-money gambling.

Why did my progress disappear?

Only players signed in with Google keep progress. Guests start fresh every visit. If you were signed in and it is gone, make sure you signed in with the same Google account.

Do you see my Google email or password?

No. Google only tells us a unique account number so we can recognise you. We never see your password and we do not store your email address.

Who can play?

See the Terms of Service. Chat and names are moderated automatically and abusive behaviour can lead to removal.
